How long can you keep your car insurance ‘no claims discount’ if you have no current policy?

I didn’t re insure my car as I walk to work now and can use wife’s car if needed. My car is sat on drive unused
How long bofore I lose my discount?

    when your insurance ran out your time was up

    As soon as you dont have insurance then you start all over again

    You should shop around, but my broker will keep it for four years before I lose it, it’s happened to me twice in the past, I’ve been a driver for 49 years so I’ve got the ‘T’ shirt!,

    your bonus is valid for 2 yrs. if you dont take out a new policy in this time then you have to start again.
