I’ve been wanting to get my drivers license I’m 21 years of age. But my question is can I get the license without having insurance? I mean I don’t have a car I have no need for insurance. Or can I borrow a friend’s car who is insured? I live in NC any help?

When you go to get your license you will have to prove that you are covered on an insurance policy

Car insurance is not necessary in order to obtain a driver’s license in any of the 50 states.

You can get your driver’s license without insurance, but if you want to drive, you need some kind of coverage.

Check out this page about when and when you’re not covered.

If you live with your parents who have insurance, you may already be covered.
