If you are a person who drives in Florida and upholds the law permanently you will have no problems. If you are someone who gets tickets all the time and goes over the allowed ticket quota every year then you are in trouble. Your license may be suspended and you will have to comply with the Florida SR22 insurance requirements.

The state of Florida requires that after you have reached the permissive limit of traffic tickets and or accidents, your license will be suspended. When your license is suspended, your insurance is suspended automatically by the insurance company. IT is a felony in the state of Florida to drive with a suspended license and without insurance.

When the Florida DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) suspends your license because you are a terrible driver or because you have been charged with a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) you may appeal this decision before a judge. The court will decide if your license will be restored and what you have to do to get it back.

If you are found guilty of DUI you must first pay for your crime. The judge will send you to DUI school for a weekend, you will have to do a certain number of community services, you will pay a fine and any other thing the judge believes you deserve. This will include a six month to one year mandatory license suspension.

Once you have complied with all the judges requirements, you can apply for an SR22 insurance policy. This policy has minimum coverage against accidents and injury too. This insurance and your behavior are guaranteed by the insurance company. They will be very strict with you because the judge will be strict with them.

An SR22 generated license is the last drivers license you will have in your life if you mess up again. If you are again caught drinking alcohol or do not improve your driving drastically, a judge may revoke the license again. You will not get another one after that. The first thing that will happen is that you will be black listed by the insurance company that issued the SR22.

This insurance company will advise every other in the United States that your SR22 was revoked so you will not be insured. No insurance, means you cannot have a license inside the United States. The Florida DMV will also advise other state DMVs that your license has been canceled for life. If you are caught driving a motor vehicle, anywhere in the United States you will go to prison.

SR22 insurance will allow you to drive again after serious problems. These will not go away but you will have the opportunity to redeem yourself with the law and society. You must take this opportunity very seriously because there are no second chances. IF you fail again, have another accident or drink and drive again, your license will be revoked for ever.
