My drivers license expires in a couple of weeks. My wife is listed as an occasional driver on my car insurance. Can she still drive my car if my drivers license expires?
I travel a lot and wont be able to renew it in time. I will have to renew it when I finally make it back, and hopefully they wont make me take the driving tests again!

first off why are you not renewing your license??
as for her driving i would contact theinsurace company and make her the primary driver so it doesnt affect it and ask them to be sure no problems are going to occur

Umm yeah, as long as she has a license…you must be from Iowa

Yes. If it’s just your driver’s license and not the car registration, she is able to drive your car under the “occasional driver” coverage.

Your wife can drive your car as long as their is insurance and she has a drivers license.

    Of course.

Call your insurance company to verify. You don’t have to give them your name just to ask questions. Or you can even call your local police and ask them. It is they who would write you a ticket if it was illegal.

    Good Luck…
