Hi, I just got my drivers license a month ago (February). I am buying an Acura TL 04, with around 75k miles. I have good grades and plan on taking a defensive driving course. Which car insurance would you recommend and what would the premium/rates be?

You have to do the leg/phone work on this one. You cannot tell without calling the various insurance companies. For myself, with an excellent driving record and excellent credit, Allstate gave me the best rates. I also have my homeowners tied to my auto insurance. For 100,000/300,000 liability coverage only, I pay $196 for 6months. Being much younger , your rates will be different. good luck, drive defensively, and have a nice day.

It depends on the type of cover. If it’s liability only or fully comp makes a big difference, also you could get medical.
So, between $120 and $350 a month? It’ll go down a bit when you reach 25.
Just shop around as prices wildly differ depending who you go with..

There is no way anyone can tell you on an online forum. Every insurance company has a set of metrics (age, where you live, credit score, driving record, etc) that they use to determine how much of a risk you are, and how much your premiums should be (this is all done by computer). You need to go to the different insurance companies’ websites to get quotes. Considering your age, where you live, and the car you want to insure, I would guess that your insurance is going to cost between $3,000 and $4,000 a year. If you can buy the car outright, and just have liability coverage, I would guess between $1,500 and $2,000 a year.

Prices and coverage options can vary greatly from one company to another. You’ve got to get multiple quotes from different providers in order to find the coverage you need at the best possible price.

Different insurance companies may be looking to fill different demographics so the only way to know which one will be best for you is to do a little comparison shopping.
