what is the offence or penalty for giving motor insurance company your wrong age?

what would happen if i get caught by the police, and is there a way for the insurance company to find out?

    First off, it’s fraud, and illegal. Second, you would need to provide ID to any insurer, so you wouldn’t be able to ‘lie’ anyway. Third, if any insurance company was stupid enough not to ask for ID and you did in the end have an accident, they wouldn’t pay up because you ‘misrepresented’ yourself.

    So don’t do it.

    The worst that could happen would be cancellation for misrepresentation; more likely would be a note or letter from the company telling you that the premium was being adjusted for your correct age, with a corresponding premium increase. The police wouldn’t be involved at all.

    TRY they help me find the cheapest car insurances on the market, about £400 cheaper that any where else.
    give them a try all you need to do is fill in a questionnaire
